| Comments | The objective of the sampling performed during 1983 was to determine the ash content of easily identifiable bands in the Wellington seam so that the coal could be mined selectively. An exploration adit (exp adit) was driven to sample the seam. A second portal and entry was developed and connected to the first adit via a crosscut. This entry has a cross section and azimuth suitable for the later installation of a mine conveyor. |
